“The biggest strength of the AISTS Master program is the hands-on experience gained everyday”.

I enrolled in the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration program in 2008, and the highlight of 2008 was by far the strong collaborative relationship with AISTS and IOC. Thanks to this relationship, I was able to experience various special lectures at the IOC, and the key members of the IOC enlightened us with a lot of information and episodes related to the Olympics, which was a fresh experience for me.

The strength of the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration program is of it being a one-year program based on hands-on experience. Similar to the sports’ MBA, the program featured practical lectures, individual and team projects, and even an internship, which enabled me to complete my graduate course in an efficient manner.

The speakers of our lectures were mostly people who have a certain level of authority or play a key role in the relevant field. For instance, during the Sports Law course, we would invite lawyers from the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and learn about the importance of legal issues on the sports site, legislations which differ from region to region, and real cases, which was very useful for us.

During my stay in Lausanne, Switzerland, I established networking ties with distinguished figures in the international sports society through various special lectures and events. In particular, I had the opportunity to meet executives and employees of the International Sports Federations such as the IOC employees, and even VIPs which even IOC members cannot easily come into contact with. It was an unconventional and precious opportunity which cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Even now, I recommend the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration Program of the AISTS to many people in Korea. I find it extremely worthwhile to introduce the school’s program and share the benefits which can be gained to working level authorities related to the Olympics, students, and even athletes.
