ONLINE WEBINAR SERIES LAUNCHED FOR AISTS ALUMNI
The AISTS Alumni Committee is launching a new webinar series, starting tomorrow, Wednesday 3rd June at 18:00 CET.
The series, called ‘AISTS Alumni Talks’ is open to all AISTS alumni and will take place monthly.
The first AISTS Alumni Talk is titled ‘Sports Marketing during COVID-19’ and will welcome Stephane Mottaz (AISTS 2007), Mariel Avalos (AISTS 2013) and Elizaveta Bracht-Tishchenko (OLY and AISTS 2007).
The session will last one hour and will be a panel discussion led by AISTS alumni Peter Marlette and Claudio Ballor, followed by 15 minutes for questions from the audience.
Meet the Marketers
Elizaveta Bracht -Tishchenko, Marketing Director FIVB
Kiev born, with dual Russian-Swiss citizenship, Elizaveta has spent the better part of the last two decades living and working in Switzerland.
A former top professional volleyball athlete, she made her debut for the Soviet National Team in 1991. Elizaveta then competed for Russia in three consecutive Olympic Games between 1996 and 2004), and twice won a silver medal (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004).
After retiring from the Russian National Team and from professional volleyball in 2004, Elizaveta transitioned into a successful commercial & marketing professional with substantial work experience in the global sport industry.
Upon graduation from the Master in Sports Administration programme at AISTS Lausanne in 2007, Elizaveta initially joined the IOC before moving on to the commercial department of UEFA. In 2009 Elizaveta returned to the world of volleyball and since then works at the International Volleyball Federation, FIVB, in Lausanne as Marketing Director.
Her passions include innovation, reading, cooking and travel. Married and has one son Alexander.
Mariel Avalos, Marketing and Rights Activation Manager at the IPC and former IPC Brand Manager.
She has attended two Paralympic Games as IPC lead for the Brand, Identity and Look of the Games functional area, contributing to raising the awareness of the Paralympic brand and optimising the sponsor visibility.
Mariel currently supports all future OCOGs; from Tokyo 2020 to LA 2028 in all matters regarding Brand and works hand in hand with the IPC international partners, TOP partners and the IOC, to enable compliant joint Brand activations for the upcoming Paralympic Games.
Before her time at the IPC, Mariel achieved her Master in Sport Administration and Technology at AISTS in 2013, with the purpose to shifting her career in Marketing to one inside the sports industry.
Previously, Mariel built five years of solid Marketing experience in the corporate world, having worked for transnational pharmaceuticals such as Johnson & Johnson and Bristol Myers Squibb, as well as for a Marketing agency, managing the accounts for top international FMCG brands and large worldwide retailers.
Stephane Mottaz, Marketing & Sales Director at ThinkSport
With 12 years in the sport industry, Stephane has already had the chance to collaborate /work for organizations including the International Olympic Committee, World Anti-Doping Agency, Swiss Cycling, International Fencing Federation, International University Sports Federation and now ThinkSport, a unique B2B network active in sport and physical activity based in the Olympic Capital founded by the City of Lausanne, Vaud and the IOC
His works has led him to contribute to major sporting events around the world such as London 2012 Olympic Games, Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Granada Winter Universiade 2015, Gwangju Summer Universiade 2015 and Taipei Summer Universiade 2017.
Stephane has actively participated in the launch of new strategic initiatives including FIE Grand Prix Series, FISU World University League for 3×3 Basketball (launched in China), The Spot, the first international event on Sport Innovation held in the Olympic Capital, and the UEFA Startup Challenge which was the first UEFA Startups Accelerator Program.
