AISTS would like to wish everyone a great Christmas season and a happy and safe holiday.
2016 has been a big year! We saw the class of 2016 arrive in the Olympic Capital back in January and followed them through a busy year of projects, presentations, events and eventual success. We kicked off a new open module in Risk Management on sports concussion and the long term risks for international sports governing bodies and also published the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Sustainability and Legacy Stories booklet. We heard from numerous highly respected professionals from the sports industry and got to spend the day with Tour de France and the Dakar Rally organisers, Amaury Sport Organisation.
The 2016 class were closely followed, with the new academic schedule commencing in late September, by the class of 2017. Now with 3 months of classes already done we are well into the swing of things. We have doubled up on some great class trips to the IOC, UCI and EHL and we all have enjoyed the UEFA European Championship, the Lillehammer Youth Olympic Games and of course the Rio Olympic Games. Our alumni have continued to be deeply involved in the world of sport here in Lausanne and world-wide and we have most recently visited our friends again at TIAS in Japan.
Next year is shaping up to be another great year so from the AISTS team we send our warmest thoughts and best wishes for a wonderful holiday and a very happy new year.
