My tryst with sports began since I was 3 years old and ever since, my continuous passion and love led me to continue my involvement in sport. As an amateur golfer, I had the opportunity to represent Peru in the South-American and International championships, learning about new cultures, and making some good friendships forever along the way.
Exploring new cultures was something that excited me, after which I decided to pursue a degree in International Business. During this period, I continued to represent Peru’s national team and maintaining my desire to develop as a competitive player.
After finishing my bachelor’s degree, my cousins and I started our own business, “Brasa 360”, which produces the best tailor-made steel grills in Peru. During those years, I was able to turn pro and played in the Peruvian Golf Tour and a couple of PGA Latin-American tournaments. Also, in those years, I learned to Surf which is one discipline that can connect with yourself and nature like no other.
Last year, I had the opportunity of joining the team that was in charge of the Golf discipline for Lima 2019 – Pan American Games. That was a life-changer for me as I realized how big the sports industry is and other endless possibilities available to pursue my passion and continue to learn about new cultures and build relationships.
After completing my research, I discovered the AISTS program. After breaking my tibia at the beginning of this year and being unable to walk for almost three months, helped me realize that the sporting platform is the best way to show the world who I am and I thank AISTS for providing me with this path.
The AISTS program is giving me the possibility to pursue a career related to my passion. Lausanne has been amazing so far! I am looking forward to the new challenges this journey has for me, expecting to reach my personal goals and again, build relations and gain knowledge for my career and life.
