Meet the Specialists

Sachiko Tanaka, Senior Venue Manager, Tennis and Wheelchair Tennis, TOCOG, AISTS MAS 2008

After completing (10) US Open Tennis Championships under USTA Facility Management, Sachiko made her way to Tokyo in hopes to be part of the 2020 Olympic Movement in 2018. Prior to Joining TOCOG in December 2019, she took part in the 2019 Rugby World Cup with Octagon overseeing partnership marketing for a Worldwide Partner. Currently with TOCOG, she is part of Venue Management for Tennis & Wheelchair Tennis venue, also known as Ariake Tennis Park, home of the Japan Open Tennis Championships.

Misaki Tsuruta, Cluster Venue Technology Manager, TOCOG, AISTS MAS 2009

After working for professional football clubs in Brazil and Japan, Misaki joined TOCOG in August 2018. He is responsible for planning, implementing and operating technology services in 8 competition venues, ranging from football to marathon.  As a fun fact, he taught English to Gabriel, center back of the Brazilian Olympic Team, when he was at Avai FC, the club’s youth system. Gabriel plays now for Arsenal.  

Masaru Yokoo, Sport Manager, Baseball and Softball, AISTS MAS 2007

He is a Brazilian national with 15+ years of sports marketing & sports business development, with over USD 420 million generated in commercial partnerships & sponsorship sales. Throughout his professional career, Mario has served in commercial leadership roles at the International Volleyball Federation, Rio 2016 Organizing Committee for the Olympic & Paralympic Games, professional volleyball teams alongside work experience with major sporting events such as FIFA World Cup and World Athletics World Championships. Mario speaks five languages, he is an AISTS MAS 2009 and additionally holds a University degree in Communications and certification in Strategic Negotiations granted by Harvard Business School.
