The average age of our participants is between 27-30 years old, but that does not mean that most participants are of that age. We have no real limits with regard to the age of the candidates, and each application is reviewed in a case-by-case manner. The main issue with being of a young age (20-22 years old) is that it tends to be tied to the fact that you have little professional experience. However, we have made exceptions in the past and accepted younger participants into the programme. Essentially it is about balancing all the requirements. We may find that your application has strengths elsewhere, in which case your age will no longer be seen as a disadvantage. The AISTS MAS in Sport Management Scientific Committee, who is in charge of the selection process, looks at a combination of factors with equal measure: professional experience, education, motivation, background in sport, age (e.g. not too young), nationality (to ensure a reasonable mix of nationalities in the class), level of English (fluency necessary), etc.
The AISTS MAS in Sport Management & Technology is truly an international programme. The class counts each year over 20 different nationalities from all 5 continents for approximately 35 participants. The requirements are the same for all participants, regardless of the nationality or country of origin.
Applicants to the AISTS MAS in Sport Management must submit English language exam results (either TOEFL or IELTS) when applying for the AISTS MAS in Sport Management to prove English fluency (written & oral). Candidates must be fluent in written & oral English to participate in the programme. All classes, coursework, and presentations will be in English. Confirmation of English ability through either a TOEFL or IELTS exam will prove beneficial for an applicant. TOEFL min scores: 550 paper, 213 Computer, 85 Internet (min. 20 for each section) IELTS min score: 6.0 (with no section score under 5.5) English-Speaking University Graduates: Completing studies at a University taught solely in English is not sufficient to prove your level of English. The Selection Committee will require the submission of English test results, either a TOEFL or IELTS exam. Native English Speakers: Please specify in your motivation letter that you are a native speaker.
The availability of scholarships for the AISTS MAS programme varies from year to year. Please visit our page to view the full list of scholarships offered for this year’s edition.
