All candidates for the AISTS Scholarships must have been offered admission and must have applied for their Scholarship of choice by March 31 2023. You will be considered for the scholarship after being successfully admitted into the program.
The selection committees for all scholarships require specific documentation. Please note that the online scholarship application process cannot be paused and continued at a later stage. Please ensure that you have all of the supporting documents ready for submission when starting the online application process.
What are we looking for?
At AISTS we believe in ‘sport for all’ and understand the power that sport can have to change lives. The AISTS Future Female Leader in Sport Scholarship will be awarded to a woman who clearly demonstrates how she is an ambassador for sport, and a role model for others.
How to apply
1. You will need to submit a motivation letter under the ‘scholarship’ section of the application in your application on the portal.
This personal essay should outline your short and long term goals, and how they relate to encouraging and inspiring others. Previous projects, future project ideas, volunteering, and personal motivations will all be taken into consideration.
2. Female scholarship applicants will need to demonstrate the capacity to fund the additional 50% of the course, as well as support the costs of living in Lausanne (estimated at CHF 2’400 per month, including accommodation), plus the cost of travel to Switzerland and back to the country of residence. Examples of financial support: own earnings/savings, own assets, family (incl. spouse/partner) income, family (incl. spouse/partner) assets, next-of-kin/friends, your government, agencies & foundations, bank loan.
The AISTS Scholarship was designed to support high achieving current and former athletes to accelerate their career to become leaders in sport.
How to apply
The AISTS is offering one merit-based scholarship to a graduate from our partner universities (EPFL, University of Lausanne, University of Geneva and EHL) to participate in the 2023 Intake of the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sport Management and Technology programme. Candidates must have been offered admission to the programme prior to their scholarship application.
*The project must be summarised in a two-page document and must have been validated by the professor at the university concerned, who will provide a letter of recommendation attached to the project summary.
The Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) satisfies the definition of an eligible institution for the purpose of granting to regular students at the EPFL an in-school deferment of repayment of Federal Family Education Program Loans and Federal Direct Student Loans.
