The AISTS MAS in Sport Management and Technology is designed around three axes : Career acceleration, Academic Quality, and Real Sport.
Sport managers today need a broad and holistic knowledge base to understand the various challenges faced by sport organisations and federations. With this in mind, the academy’s primary goal is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to sports management education to meet the needs of the industry and develop tomorrow’s leaders.
The unique academic environment of Lausanne and its region, host to world-leading learning institutions, creates exceptional conditions for continued education. AISTS builds on this rich network, thanks to its academic founding-members in particular, to feature the best professors and experts in the programme.
In this unique industry, nothing replaces learning by doing! Sport is an applied topic. You will work on current challenges identified by the thought-leaders and organisations of the sport industry. This will provide you with powerful and actionable knowledge, allowing you to have a legitimate and concrete impact in your field.
The Masters programme is based in Lausanne. This unique location will provide you with outstanding opportunities to meet and exchange with key people of the sport industry. With the AISTS alumni network of close to 700 alumni, Meet&greets, site visits, guest speaker presentations and informal local life interactions, you will grow your network in sport, bringing you closer to your next professional endeavour.
The content of the programme is constantly revisited to equip you with the most current and relevant skills and knowledge required to tackle the current and future hot topics for the sport industry.
The AISTS MAS in Sport Management and Technology is a multidisciplinary programme with a focus on management and technology. The third main module of the programme – Career and Leadership – is designed to prepare you as a sport and team leader to succeed in your career. While these three modules are at the forefront, no sport manager can aspire to become a leader without a profound understanding of the sociological component of sport, its medical specificities as well as the legal construct which governs its ways of working.
Lastly, with the importance of sustainability in today’s society, as well as the opportunities of growth brought by digitalization, these two topics have become a natural and common theme across all modules.
AISTS academic lecturers are professors from the leading universities in Europe and beyond, while speakers from the field are directors and project leaders from:
Lectures are complemented by many case studies, field studies and leisure activities. The Olympic capital Lausanne, home to more than 50 international federations, offers the perfect setting with its wide range of sports, leisure and cultural activities.
