LAUSANNE 2020 ANNOUNCES AISTS AS INSTITUTIONAL PARTNER
Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games has announced AISTS as one of its official institutional partners. The partnership will see our master program participants volunteering across the event, as well as collaborating on research projects with the Organising Committee.
Alongside the involvement in volunteering, Lausanne 2020 has agreed with AISTS to complete an in-depth research project around sustainability and legacy. The assignment will form one of our 2020 master program participants’ team projects.
These projects see small teams of participants working together to solve briefs from clients across the sporting world. Participants will also have the opportunity to tackle real-life briefs from Lausanne 2020 as the subject of their mandatory research papers.
Finally, we will welcome guest lecturers from Lausanne 2020 and be involved in debriefing and observation sessions, giving participants maximum access to this exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Ian Logan, CEO Lausanne 2020, said: “We are so happy to have AISTS as one of our official institutional partners. The well-known sport master’s program, a product of its founding partners, namely the IOC, the city of Lausanne, the EPFL, the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva, IMD and the EHL, was a natural fit for Lausanne 2020. By joining forces with key local stakeholders and high-ranking educational institutions that form Lausanne’s innovation pool we have been able to create good synergy for the games and also support future sport leaders as they start their career.”
Claude Stricker, AISTS executive director, said: “The 2020 AISTS MAS Program participants will get an unprecedented opportunity to experience an Olympics Games right on their doorstep. All participants will be volunteers, gaining invaluable practical experience and learning first-hand what it’s like to be involved in a major sporting event.”
