I have been fortunate to have lived in different countries, where I have had incredible personal experiences and have also been able to meet a variety of interesting people. Wherever I go, people who know me do not take long to know that my passion for sports is part of my daily life and that it is not limited to discipline and even less to a specific team or a final of an event.

This passion goes all the way back to when I was a child. For me playing any sport every day was the rule, not the exception, and when playing time was over, it was time to feed my knowledge. It was common for me to look at the local newspaper, grab the sports section and there I would check the results of any league, the standings or the stats of the games played the day before.

As I grew up, my physical capabilities were not there, however my interest in sport remained and with the advances in technology, access to information grew, and so did my knowledge. I decided to specialise in the sport industry which prompted me to come to Lausanne and join AISTS.

Taking the decision to follow a dream was not easy and this whole process has taught me that certainly it is not a given. There will always be challenges in life and, however, the process is comforting when there is deep personal meaning. I was hesitant to leave my comfort zone until I realized that doing the same work repeatedly will not change my current dissatisfaction and living under “what if” is not beneficial for mental health.

Since September 2022, this journey has been one of the best experiences in my life. I have been able to pursue a dream with top professors in the industry. While I could have come and started this adventure earlier, I am blessed to be part of the class of 2023 and share this experience with extraordinary people from different parts of the world who share the same passion that I have. We have been able to generate a great team, and I am sure that we will add value to the industry and put the name of AISTS at the top wherever we go.
