HUMANS OF AISTS

MAS2021 | Ep20 | SHIVANI HASIJA

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”

That is how it all started when my parents introduced me to the world of sports. I started roller skating when I was just 4, then got into 100 mt. short sprint, then volleyball and finally bodybuilding. Eventually I became a professional skater and an international level bodybuilder. Once I got into the world of sports, I just never stopped, and I still continue. Despite pursuing my Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University and working in the banking industry for 4+ years, I still felt there was something missing. Covid-19, when everybody was working from home, turned out to be rather a blessing in disguise for me. It gave me time to ponder upon things that I really love and want to wake up to every day of my life. One thing which I realized was my love for management and the other thing was my undying love for sports. That is when I discovered the amalgamation of both i.e. Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration and Technology at AISTS.

I wish to grow stronger and older with the sports industry and give back whatever best I can for all the support and development it gave me, not only as a sportsperson but also as an individual. It has already been 23 years since I have been an athlete and I wish to devote the rest of my life to the sports industry in every possible way.

*Credits for the Humans of AISTS go to MAS 2021 Aditya Narayan and Gabor Zippenfenig for coordination!
