HUMANS OF AISTS

MAS2021 | Ep16 | Runqiu Jia

I grew up in a sports-loving family where both my father and grandfather have been in the sports business for decades. They not only gave me the chance to participate in different sports, but also enlightenment and perspective. It was in my conversations with them that I first realized the connection between sports, cultures, the development of society, and the significance of global cooperation.

Runqiu Jia, sports organizations management professional

Just before coming to Lausanne, I studied sports management at Beijing Sport University,  where I received systematic education in Sports Administration. With my management background, I had the opportunity to work for many sports organizations and events in China, including the Winter Sports Administration, Chinese Yachting Association, FIBA China, and the Beijing marathon. All these experiences in sports further illuminated my future path in the sports industry, and that’s how I came to Lausanne, the capital of the Olympics.

Despite the pandemic, there are still so many highlights with AISTS, from the very international side of sports management to the dynamic and multicultural environment, also the professional guidance and unique opportunities provided are all invaluable. The year passed even faster than I thought it would, but the precious memory will always remain. Now that the course is coming to an end, I look forward to an exciting future in sports!
