Are you passionate about the business of sport? Do you want to be a change maker?  Have you got an international outlook?

The AISTS MAS in Sport Administration application process is officially open for the 17th edition of our programme, starting in September 2018.

The MAS 15-month post-graduate programme is targeted at candidates who have a university degree and previous work experience and wish to re-orientate their career in the sports industry.  Ranked the number 1 sports management programme in the world for 2015/16 and 17 by EdUniversal, the AISTS MAS offers you a multi-disciplinary and practical approach to sports administration and brings together over 140 international experts in the fields of management, technology, law, medicine and sociology.

The AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology) was founded in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee and also  EPFL, University of Lausanne, University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôteliere de Lausanne, City of Lausanne and Canton of Vaud.  For the past 16 years we have had over 500 students graduate from our programme who then go on to work in various organisations such as the IOC, Lagardére Sport, FIBA, Nike and the FIH.  Our average participant’s age is around 27, with approximately 4 years of professional experience and a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.   International level athletes who participated in world championships are also welcome to the programme and can apply for a scholarship.  In the past we have had gold medal Olympians and world class athletes successful career change into the sports management world.  There is also a scholarship avaliable for one female appicant each year as well.

The first application deadline for the 2018 edition is just 2 months away, on the 1st of November, and we encourage all applicants to apply early so as to secure their place in the programme.  2nd and 3rd deadlines occur on the 1st of February, 2018 and the 1st of May, 2018.  Last years application process saw over 200 applicants apply from all over the world.

The 2019 class will be gaining their hands on experience in the soon to be opened Synathlon.  Along with the AISTS, the Synathlon will host the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the Institute of Sport Sciences of the University of Lausanne (ISSUL) and ThinkSport, giving even greater connections to the sports industry.  The Synathlon is just minutes away from the International Olympic Committee, our founding partner, as well as the IMD Business School and the libraries and sports facilities of our other founding member institutions, the EPFL and the University of Lausanne.  Class visits are also organised annually to the UCI, World Archery, UEFA, FIBA and more.

So if you want to learn from the top experts in sport and you have what it takes to study “the most challenging sports management programme”, as stated by Mr Thomas Bach – IOC President, then apply now and get the AISTS advantage.
