We are welcoming all sports enthusiasts who want to fast track their career into the sports world for the final application deadline for the class of 2019, starting in September.
The AISTS Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration and Technology is a 15 month degree that is targeted at candidates who have a university degree and previous work experience and wish to re-orientate their career in the sports industry. The final deadline for the upcoming class of 2019, starting this September, is closing shortly on the 1st of May.
Ranked the number 1 sports management programme in the world for 2015/16 and 17 by EdUniversal, the AISTS MAS offers you a multi-disciplinary and practical approach to sports administration and brings together over 140 international experts in the fields of management, technology, law, medicine and sociology.
The AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology) was founded in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee and also the EPFL, the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôteliere de Lausanne, City of Lausanne and Canton of Vaud.
For the past 17 years we have had over 500 students graduate from our programme who then go on to work in various organisations such as the IOC, the Commonwealth Games, FIFA, Adidas and World Rowing, just to name a few. Our average participant’s age is around 28, with approximately 4 years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
International level athletes who participated in world championships are also welcome to the programme and can apply for a scholarship. In the past we have had gold medal Olympians and world class athletes successful career change into the sports management world.
The scholarship has a value of CHF 14,500, which will fund half of the tuition fee of the AISTS MAS programme, endorsed by the International Olympic Committee, which aims to develop the next generation of leaders in sport.
Previous winners of the AISTS Athlete Scholarship have included two-time US open water champion, Christine Jennings, Germany’s Olympic windsurfer Toni Wilhelm who recently competed at the Rio Olympic Games, Nigerian sprinter Enee Udo-Obong, an Olympic gold medallist in the 4×100 metres relay at Sydney 2000, as well as Ireland’s most capped international athlete and member of the women’s field hockey team, Nikki Symmons. Nikki Symmons graduated in 2014 and went onto to work with the International Hockey Federation (FIH) here in Lausanne, and is their Digital Manager as well as the current AISTS Alumni President.

Candidates for the scholarship must be able to provide supporting documentation of their sporting achievements, for instance official results or evidence from an International Federation, while also completing a letter detailing their motivation for obtaining the scholarship.
