Created in 2003, the AISTS Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sport Management and Technology was designed to develop the leaders of international sport, equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge for the sport industry.

The MAS Programme is co-signed by EPFL, UNIL and UNIGE, highlighting the Programme’s excellence, credibility and world standing. Located in Lausanne, Switzerland – the Olympic Capital – we leverage this academic ecosystem including IMD Business School and EHL to bring together the best professors and experts to deliver the 15-month, full-time MAS Programme. Ranked as the No. 1 Master in Sport Management in the world since 2015 by Eduniversal, it provides a comprehensive 360° view of sport management and technology. Master of Advanced Studies: what does it mean?

A Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) is a Postgraduate Programme, focusing on advanced, specialised education and practical experience. Designed for professionals with a university degree (or equivalent) and work experience, the MAS aims to accelerate careers and further specialisation in the sport industry. The MAS emphasises both theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing participants for high-level roles in sport organisations worldwide. The MAS degree is officially recognised by the Swiss education system, reflecting the programme’s academic rigour and its alignment with professional standards.

The curriculum

The AISTS responds to the evolving needs of the sport industry by designing a MAS Programme that is multidisciplinary, based on Academic Excellence, Real Sport and Career Acceleration (more details here). Its evolving curriculum addresses the needs of the Sport industry with a scientific committee ensuring academic rigour and relevancy.

Multi-disciplines guide our approach to building the MAS, including Management and Business of Sport, Sport Technology, Sport Law and Governance, Sport Medicine, Sport Sociology, Leadership and Career Development, Digitalisation and Sustainability. Each discipline is essential in our mission to drive growth and success for the sport organisations with whom we partner.

  1. Fill in the Am I eligible form
  2. Prepare your documents
    • Passport-size photo & scanned passport
    • Motivation letter (2-3 pages, guidelines here)
    • CV / Resume
    • Two recommendation letters (academic + professional)
    • Certified degree and transcripts
    • English proficiency score (TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo)
  3. Complete the MAS application form (link provided if eligible)
  4. Selection process
    Each application is reviewed, and candidates passing the first selection are invited for an interview
  5. Final approval
    Successful candidates proceed to the AISTS Scientific Committee for validation before receiving an official offer
  6. Secure your place
    Confirm your enrolment with a deposit of CHF 3,000 (CHF 1’500 until 30 November 2025). This deposit is deductible from the total fees.
