ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE AISTS OPEN MODULES DATES FOR 2017 AND 2018
The AISTS has been offering Open Modules to the industry since 2001 and we are pleased to announce the new dates for our upcoming academic year for the AISTS SEMOS™, AISTS SEMOS™ Plus and the AISTS Sustainable Sport & Events Open Module.
- SEMOS™ – 16TH TO THE 20TH OF OCTOBER, 2017 AT THE SWISSTECH CONVENTION CENTRE
- SEMOS™ PLUS – 30TH OF OCTOBER TO THE 2ND OF NOVEMBER, 2017 AT THE EPFL CAMPUS
- SUSTAINABLE SPORT & EVENTS – 26TH TO THE 27TH MARCH, 2018 AT THE SYNATHLON
The AISTS SEMOS™ open module (Sports Event Management and Organisation Seminar) offers an overview of the key tasks that sports managers need to successfully plan, communicate and operate a major sport events, providing a 360° view and behind the scenes look at the mechanics of sport events. Throughout the module we bring together leaders of International Sport Federations and other experts of the AISTS network, including the International Olympic Committee and sport event organisers, to share their knowledge and expertise and hands on experience. The AISTS SEMOS™ open module will take place in October this year at the SwissTech Convention Centre and registration is now open. The week long module will cover the intricate details of event organisation covering topics such as strategy to operation, sport competition, security, transport and much more. During the last week in October you can pick and choose from eight different sessions during the SEMOS™ Plus module, ranging from one to three hours on topics such as anti-doping, press and broadcast, protocol, ticketing and spectator experience – all in relation to their role in sport events. The AISTS SEMOS™ Plus gives you the opportunity to stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices – learning from industry leaders from Baku2015, Commonwealth Games, Pan Am Games and Athletissima. SEMOS™ Plus will take place at the EPFL Campus.
Now in its 11th year the Sustainable Sport and Events (SSE) open module will take place in March 2018 at the new home of AISTS, the Synathlon, here in Lausanne. Over two days, the Sustainable Sport & Events Open Module provides an understanding of the current challenges and opportunities of sustainability in sport and challenges participants to think outside the box. A clear insight into the best practices adopted by the American major leagues such as the NFL, NBA and MLB as well as from various International Federations like FIFA, the IOC, FIA and Formula E is gained through our top level experts that we have presenting annually.
