Dr Claude Stricker (right), Executive Director of the International Academy of Sport Science and Technology, has chosen to exercise his rights to retirement in 2023. Under his leadership, the AISTS developed to become the internationally recognized academy it is today. More specifically, he developed and implemented the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sport Management and Technology, a pioneer and international leader in its field.
The Foundation Council of the AISTS has nominated Mr Cédric Vanden Bogaerde (left) for the position of Executive Director of the foundation. He will commence his new duties on October 1st 2023.
Mr Vanden Bogaerde holds the position of Head of Strategy and Education at AISTS since 2021, after holding several positions of responsibility within the International Olympic Committee (IOC) over eleven years. He graduated from the AISTS MAS and holds a Master’s in Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain (UCL). He was formerly a 400m runner and remains an avid athlete and practices triathlon, cross-country skiing, and surf.
The Foundation Council warmly thanks Dr Stricker for his unwavering commitment throughout the twenty past years and begins this new chapter with confidence.
