CLASS OF 2019 GRADUATES

Last night AISTS celebrated the graduation of the class of 2019. The evening celebrated the culmination of 15 months of hard work, passion, and dedication to sports management from talented participants from over 20 countries.

The theme for the evening was Your Journey Awaits, to celebrate the journeys that the class now finds themselves on. The event was once again held at The Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

We were proud to welcome keynote speaker Jeanette Kwakye, Olympian turned broadcaster who shared her own inspiring journey. She encouraged the class of 2019 to embrace opportunities and remember that even small steps will lead to their goal.

Christophe Dubi, Olympic Games Executive Director at the International Olympic Committee, also shared the journey of the IOC in the run-up to Tokyo 2020.

Maria Bogner, Head of the Olympic Studies Centre presented the Best Research Paper Award to Robin Fasel and Sébastien Reymond from Swiss Sport Managers presented Best Participant Award to Surbhi Kuwelker. Congratulations Surbhi and Robin and thank you to Maria and Sébastien.

Class of 2019 representative John Vlahos shared the story of the class, recognising the moments and memories that have made this one of the best years of everyone’s life.

Congratulations again to the class of 2019, AISTS is proud of each and every one of your achievements, welcomes you to the AISTS alumni, and wishes you the best of luck on your journeys to becoming the future leaders of sport.

Experience the world of sport in the Olympic Capital

Participants attend several full-day workshops throughout the programme to experience sport. These sessions are delivered by the sport organisations and federations themselves and provide a unique hands-on experience and well as an ideal opportunity to connect to our alumni and experts working in the industry.
