AISTS AT THE SPORTACCORD 2018 CONVENTION IN THAILAND

AISTS AT THE SPORTACCORD 2018 CONVENTION IN THAILAND

The AISTS spent this week at the SportAccord Convention in Thailand meeting with the sports world and getting the delegates to show off their archery skills.  We have a strong tradition now of providing the SportAccord delegates with an enjoyable, competitive activity and this year we continued this with a mini archery championship.

The AISTS mission is to bring a positive contribution to the management of sport through post-graduate and executive education, as well as applied research, by developing, integrating and delivering knowledge from human sciences, life sciences and engineering sciences.  We do this through targeted education, applied research and innovative sports technology and this was our focus for the recent SportAccord 2018 convention.

Delegates got to compete in the convention competition that we held over the three days of the convention, by taking 3 shots at the AISTS target.  Scores were kept and on the final afternoon, a “shoot off” occurred with the 6 top scorers.

The winner of the grand prize was Magalie Debost who is working with Projects4Sports with the top score of 26 points.  2nd place went to Mr Patrice Iseli from the City of Lausanne and then Leticia Zumbrunnel in 3rd place from WADA.  Our 1st place winner Magalie received a Canon digital camera for her skilled efforts.
