Our partner Padukone Dravid Center for Sports Excellence, played a vital role in making our domestic study trip to Karnataka a success!
During the trip, we were hosted at PDCSE premises which boasts state of the art accommodation for athletes. AISTS Faculty Boris Gojanovic, MD & Prof. Patrick Decaro was present at CSE to teach Sport Medicine and Sports Infrastructure modules respectively. PDCSE ensured that AISTS INDIA had access to the facilities, top management, athletes, teams, and support staff so that we could gain hands-on experience during the intense study sessions.
PDCSE also hosts the Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Center, where sessions were conducted with practical demonstrations to understand how technology is used in sport.
As part of the Curriculum, we also visited the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium to understand the dynamics of Sports Infrastructure. Furthermore, the cohort also got an opportunity to visit companies like PUMA, GoSports Foundation, Playa, Nimida Sports, etc., so students could obtain first-hand knowledge about the industry.
As always, we believe in ‘Work hard, Play hard’ ! Hence, students got an opportunity to participate in sports activities/games as a part of team-building activity.
