GLOBAL ESPORTS EXECUTIVE SUMMIT 2019

AISTS TO SPEAK AT ESPORTS SUMMIT

AISTS will be speaking at the 4th Global Esports Executive Summit (GEES) in Korea on the 29th August 2019. The annual event gathers key esports stakeholders to openly discuss the differences and synergies between esports and traditional sports.

Nalain Naidoo, AISTS head of business development, will be joining a panel called ‘What are the Roles & Responsibility of Esports stakeholders for Esports Eco System?’.

The invitation to speak follows an ongoing partnership between AISTS and the International Esports Federation.

“In the past 12 months our master’s students have completed a thorough research project for the IESF focusing on “Esports as an official sport”,” says Nalain. “And our professional AISTS research department has completed a mandate which explored and benchmarked against the traditional IF’s Refereeing systems. The Esports market is a fascinating one and is only set to grow. The GEES is the ideal place to learn more about esports and I’m looking forward to speaking on the panel.”

Being held in Busan, GEES’s previous speakers have included Duane Kale, International Paralympic Committee Vice President, Kevin Morris, Daily Dot’s esports editor, and Allan Phang, Esports Evangelist President.

Experience the world of sport in the Olympic Capital

Participants attend several full-day workshops throughout the programme to experience sport. These sessions are delivered by the sport organisations and federations themselves and provide a unique hands-on experience and well as an ideal opportunity to connect to our alumni and experts working in the industry.
