OVERVIEW

The AISTS was founded in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud to support international sport organisations in the region through leveraging the Swiss university system.

INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

The International Olympic Committee is the supreme authority of the Olympic Movement whose goal is to build a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practised in accordance with Olympism and its values. The mission of the IOC is to promote Olympism throughout the world and to lead the Olympic Movement.

Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

EPFL is one of the most famous European institutions of science and technology welcoming professors and staff from over 120 nationalities. EPFL has three core missions: training, research and technology transfer.

University of Lausanne
